Anne Holmi
Horn
Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Anne Holmi is in her 15th season as a hornist in the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Since 2009, Ms. Holmi has also regularly performed with the Alabama Symphony and the Jacksonville Symphony. In addition, she is a member of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and freelances in the Coastal Carolina area.
Before coming to Charleston, Ms. Holmi played with the Roanoke Symphony in Virginia and Saginaw Symphony. Some of the music festivals she has performed in include the National Orchestral Institute, Summit Brass Festival, and she was a faculty member of the Skyline Brass Festival until 2001. She holds a graduate degree in horn performance at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor as well as a Bachelor's degree in music from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Douglas Hill, Peter Landgren, Bryan Kennedy, and Lowell Greer are among Ms. Holmi's principal teachers. Ms. Holmi lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Peter, and their two energetic children, Eric and Laura.
